Clayton Services is seeking a Logistics & Shipping Assistant in North Houston to coordinate shipments, support logistics operations, and assist with inventory and administrative tasks. This temp-to-hire role offers a $20.00-$22.00 hourly pay and benefits after completion of the assignment.

The position requires strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with proficiency in MS Office and Excel/QuickBooks. Experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior logistics/shipping/warehouse support experience preferred.
• Forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents, invoices and packing slips for domestic and international shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight companies for pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain shipping records and update logistics data in the company system.
• Assist with inventory organization, labeling and packing for shipment.
• Support warehouse operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Communicate shipment details and delivery timelines to customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform additional administrative/logistics tasks as needed.

Clayton Services is searching for a Logistics & Shipping Assistant to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Logistics & Shipping Assistant will be responsible for coordinating shipments, supporting logistics operations, and assisting with inventory and administrative functions.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hour

Logistics & Shipping Assistant Responsibilities:

• Prepare shipping documentation, invoices, and packing slips for domestic and international shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update logistics information in the company database.
• Assist with inventory organization, labeling, and packaging of products for shipment.
• Support warehouse and logistics operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment details and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional administrative and logistics-related duties as assigned.

Logistics & Shipping Assistant Skills and Abilities:

Logistics & Shipping Assistant Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate .
• Prior experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse support, or administrative coordination .
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment .
