Position Summary
In this role you will support the day-to-day operations across warehousing, inventory control, and transportation logistics. You'll be responsible for coordinating shipments, assisting with demand planning, and ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This position requires someone highly organized, proactive, and capable of working across departments to resolve issues quickly, track shipments, and keep documentation accurate. Your contributions will help maintain our service reliability, optimize our logistics costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipments with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in demand planning and inventory forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor logistics-related profit and loss statements for cost control.
- Support price negotiations with transportation providers and vendors.
- Assist in troubleshooting transport or delivery issues.
- Contribute to the implementation and management of transportation systems to increase operational efficiency.
- Oversee material handling and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.
- Use data analytics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Track and dispatch outbound deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and status updates.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to maintain transparency and service excellence.
Qualification Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Working Experience Requirements
- Experience in logistics, freight coordination, shipping and receiving, or supply chain management.
- Experience in fleet management and dispatching is preferred.
- Background in using logistics or transportation management systems (TMS) is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience working with suppliers, carriers, and internal operational teams.
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping practices is a plus.
