Job summary

Kids for the Future in Moncks Corner, SC seeks a Logistics Specialist II to optimize efficiency, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely, cost-effective movements of cargo for direct customers.

You'll secure freight, build customer relationships, quote and negotiate rates, track shipments, enter data accurately, and continuously improve logistics processes. Eligible employees receive incentives, health and vision insurance, PTO, and life coverage. This role is on-site in Moncks Corner, SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
• Book of Business and prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure freight for direct customers and multiple equipment types.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to improve transportation efficiencies.
• Quote, bid, and negotiate rates with carriers and customers.
• Accurately enter data into software for timely processing and billing.
• Track shipments and analyze data to optimize logistics processes.
• Schedule and monitor shipments and update customers throughout the process.

Summary

The Logistics Specialist II is responsible for optimizing efficiency, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely cost-effective movements of cargo.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Secure freight of all kinds and equipment types for direct customers
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to improve transportation efficiencies for them
• Quote, bid, and negotiate rates
• Accurately enter data into proper software to ensure timely processing and billing
• Build relationships with customers to deliver customized solutions
• Track shipments, analyze data, and optimize logistics processes
• Schedule and track shipments, updating customers throughout the process
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Transportation required. Minimum 3 years' experience.
• Book of Business and Experience Preferred.
