Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis' Riley Hospital is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage requisitions, inventory, receiving, stocking, and related projects. You will verify products by description and item number, inspect for damage or expiration, and ensure accurate order filling.

This full-time position involves a rotating schedule, potential on-call and weekend coverage, and may require operating a company vehicle. You will use WMS, ERP and POU systems to document activity.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 0–3 years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in order stocking and filling is preferred.
  • Some assignments may require the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates requisitions, inventory management, receiving, and projects.
  • Ensures orders are filled timely and accurately.
  • Verifies product by description, item number, and quantity.
  • Inspects products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging.
  • Performs cycle counts and physical inventories in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Coordinates the availability and delivery of products, to include equipment, mail and/or linen.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Ensures aisle/storeroom maintenance and cleanliness is constantly maintained.
  • Effectively utilizes WMS, POU, and ERP to document ordering, filling, stocking, tagging, and registering activity.

  • 1+ years of experience in order stocking and filling is preferred.
  • Some assignments may require the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment. May be required to obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Requires long periods of standing and walking (as much as 6+ hours per day) and heavy pushing and pulling.
  • Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs from waist to over-the-head; carry up to 25 lbs.
