• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Worksite Location: Joliet, IL
• Compensation: $19-21/hour

Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist:

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments based on production schedules
• Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to ensure timely operations
• Examine documents, materials, and products for completeness, accuracy, and standards compliance
• Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing needs to determine personnel and materials requirements
• Record and maintain production data including material usage, volume produced, and quality metrics
• Requisition and manage inventory of materials and supplies needed for production
• Communicate with drivers and support logistics planning

Qualifications for the Logistics Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years relevant experience; warehouse or logistics experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze labor, material, and production costs
• Familiarity with documentation and customer information management
• Basic knowledge of shipping and production regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
