Job summary

Lorien in Sterling, Virginia, is looking for Logistics Specialists to monitor infrastructure inventory levels and support build and repair activities. Job description

Logistics Specialists monitor infrastructure inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities. They receive parts, maintain inventory, and check‑out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers. They also load and unload shipments and transport computer/server parts between different locations.

Basic Qualifications
  • 0-2 years experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Capability to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances
  • Ability to participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more
  • Willingness and ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Can perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
  • Can push or pull heavy objects into position
  • Comfortable working in a noisy environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Inventory Management Systems
  • Understanding of inventory control methodology
  • Positive work attitude and leadership skills
  • Ability to perform above minimum requirements for extended periods of time
  • Commitment to a culture of safety
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Physical / Environmental Demands
  • Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasional work in a warehouse environment where noise level is loud
  • Occasional assistance in loading and unloading shipments
  • Occasional exposure to extreme cold or hot weather
Work Environment
  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
  • Noise level varies and can be loud
  • Temperature between 60 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, occasionally exceeding 90 degrees
