Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Logistics Specialist to join our client's dynamic team in Parker, CO. Our client is a prestigious firm within the Aerospace and Defense industry, directly supporting critical U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Military programs. This is a Contract role offering an exceptional opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to gain hands-on experience in supply chain operations, learn global logistics regulations, and contribute to vital projects in a thriving sector.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist:
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals necessary for deployment and stocking within supply chain operations.
- Coordinate and document all aspects of shipping and receiving logistics, including routing and tracking of materials to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain precise and current records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals, ensuring accurate inventory control.
- Track logistics materials and parts for optimal allocation within storage facilities, and actively learn and apply applicable state, federal, and global import/export regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient material flow and support overall logistics and supply chain objectives.
Qualifications of the Logistics Specialist:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A higher-level degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field may substitute for experience; relevant logistics experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- 0-2+ years of hands-on experience in logistics coordination, inventory management, or supply chain support, ideally within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data management and reporting; experience with shipping databases (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS) for freight coordination.
- Practical experience with inventory databases and a solid understanding of fundamental inventory control and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance tracking systems (e.g., AvPro) is a significant plus for this Logistics Specialist role.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proactive learner with a strong ability to follow procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines in logistics operations.
- Physical capability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs as part of material handling duties.
- Preferred Qualifications: Active HazMat Training/Certification; current Forklift operation certification; understanding of shelf-life programs.
