Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

SALARY: $23.00 per hour

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining the weekly load plan for carriers and assist the operations with parcel shipments. They will also assist with any logistical needs for any Vendor Returns or Transfers at Superiors cost. The position also works in the distribution facility to meet the scheduled production orders and metrics daily, monitor production schedules and adjust to accommodate changes. They will also be responsible for researching and resolving any Logistical issues in an effort to reduce Transportation costs.

Day Shift: Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm

You will be responsible for...

• Works with Operations, Order Management, Production Control, and Program Managers on routing outbound trucks.
• Coordinating with the team to ensure that trucks are routed to the correct location and are picked up on time.
• Help resolve any issues with Order Management.
• Ensuring all Required Shipping Documents are maintained with the shipment
• Creating and printing BOLs and Shipping Labels as needed.
• Work with Carriers, FMI, Order Management, Operations, and Program Management for any needs or discrepancies.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries for Vendor Returns and Transfers
• Assist Operations to prepare International and Dangerous Goods paperwork for shipments
• Monitor and Ensure On-Time Delivery
• Basic Reporting and Analysis for Logistics Processes

• Must have logistics and shipping experience
• Must be able to work with a computer
• Must have experience with International Shipping process to include, but not limited to, Incoterms, Customs Documentation, Commercial Invoices, Shipper Letters of Instruction, etc.
• Must have experience utilizing a Transportation Management System (Shipwise and E2Open is a plus)

Work Environment

This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and maneuver around pallets. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects more than 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to climb a ladder and retrieve stock.
