TechTrans provides language services and travel logistics, including language teaching, interpreting, translating, and travel coordination. We have a global presence with offices, staff, and clients worldwide.

We are seeking a full-time Logistics Specialist for our Clear Lake/Houston, Texas office (77058). The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to work at a fast pace, possesses excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and can execute international events. Spanish or other foreign language skills, prior cross-cultural and U.S. government agency experience are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain ongoing communication throughout event support.
• Source and coordinate global travel and event planning services, including booking flights, lodging, ground transportation, event venues, AV equipment, interpretation and translation services, catering, and VIP arrangements.
• Find and vet international vendors, establish relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage payments.
• Work independently with guidance, utilizing contract and pricing knowledge to prepare estimates, coordinate services, manage budgets and timelines, and handle changes.
• Ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality solutions, providing detailed layouts and itineraries for clients.
• Learn and adhere to government and country-specific travel, safety, and logistics regulations.
• Support special projects such as vendor base expansion, pricing exercises, and bid preparations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills, with flexibility for outside business hours.
• International experience and internet research skills.
• Familiarity with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, and support team members.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software and database systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
