Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in New Jersey seeks a logistics specialist to manage domestic and international shipping for clinical and commercial products at a GMP facility. You will handle receiving, processing, coordinating shipments, and customer clearance.

The role requires 3+ years in shipping, collaboration across functions, and compliance with cGMP and SOPs. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds; weekend/holiday overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in shipping, warehouse, or distribution roles.
• 2 years in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with cold-chain logistics is preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP and SOP documentation preferred.
• Basic computer skills (email, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Manage international end-to-end logistics, including forwarding contracts, customs, and bonds.
• Coordinate scheduling, receiving, storage, and shipping of orders domestically and internationally.
• Provide customs support, import/export licenses, and duty invoices.
• Serve as hands-on Shipping/Receiving resource and communicate processes.
• Maintain shipping records in relevant systems.
• Process freight invoices.
• Adhere to QMS, cGMP, SOP and EHS policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Scope:

This position is responsible for the successful execution of the ProBio domestic and international logistics experiences, including receiving, processing, coordinating shipment, and customer clearance, etc at GMP facility for clinical and commercial products handling.

Requirements:

• Manage international end-to-end logistics process, including contracts for forwarding service, custom clearance & bonds, brokers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on scheduling, receiving, storing and shipping sales orders and customer-provided materials, domestically and internationally.
• Provide customs and tracking support including but not limited to, importing customs clearance and maintaining customs annual bond, applying import and export license and permit, providing delay notification and tracking supports and processing customs clearance and duty invoices.
• Serves as a hands‑on resource in Shipping and Receiving, being able to communicate to other departments on shipping processes and procedures.
• Maintain shipping records in relevant systems.
• Process freight invoices accordingly for various shipping activities
• Adherence to all QMS, cGMP, SOP and EHS policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of previous experience as a shipping, warehouse, distribution, etc., required
• 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
• Required to lift and move material physically
• Experience in managing cold-chain logistics of biological materials is preferred
• Physical requirements include bending, standing for extended periods of time, and frequent lifting of a maximum of 50 pounds
• May require working weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements preferred
• Experience drafting and revising SOP’s and documentation work preferred
• Basic computer knowledge (email, MS Office)

Pay range is estimated between $60k - $75k based on skill set and experience.
