Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage shipping/receiving in our manufacturing facility on-site in Conroe, TX. You will work closely with the production team to meet material needs, ensure accurate inventory, and operate forklift and overhead crane equipment safely.

Key responsibilities include processing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, maintaining records, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Experience in manufacturing or logistics is preferred.
• Knowledge of forklift and overhead crane operation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and external logistics providers.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Safety-minded approach with adherence to regulations.
• Basic understanding of international shipments procedures is a plus.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new logistics technologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring efficient operations.
• Collaborate with production to understand material requirements and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane to move and store materials safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and a safe work environment.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, customs paperwork).
• Communicate with carriers and logistics providers to arrange transportation and track shipments.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain records of shipments, tracking numbers and delivery status.
• Resolve shipping-related issues and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Assist in inventory management and conduct regular stock audits.
