Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); post-secondary education preferred.
• 1–3 years of administrative or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP/business systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and sound independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily inbound receipt of raw materials and outbound shipment of finished steel rolls, verifying quantities, condition, and accuracy against purchase orders, packing lists, and bills of lading (BOLs).
• Prepare and process key shipping documents — including BOLs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export documentation — for both domestic and international freight.
• Perform shipping and receiving transactions in the business system (Oracle), ensuring inventory records stay accurate and up to date in real time.
• Schedule and coordinate shipments with customers and carriers, confirming delivery windows, required documentation, and pickup/delivery times to align production and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready shipping and receiving records and filing systems in compliance with ISO 9001 quality requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies between received goods and purchase orders (shortages, damage, or incorrect items) by coordinating with vendors and the purchasing team.
