Job summary

Cheney Brothers in New York state is seeking a warehouse shipper responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying orders, packing securely, labeling packages, and using inventory systems to keep records. This entry-level role requires a High School Diploma or GED and up to 6 months of experience; forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months of warehousing/shipping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills for inventory systems and shipping software.
• Attention to detail for order verification and labeling.
• Ability to work with forklifts or pallet jacks when needed.
• Familiarity with shipping procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Locate items in the warehouse and prepare them for shipping.
• Verify the accuracy of assigned orders and ensure correct products.
• Record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• File end-of-day shipping documents.
• Notify management if discrepancies or unavailability occur.
• Assist with creating and maintaining reports.
• Operate pallet jack and manually transport product.
• Visually inspect products and labels.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
