Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Personnel Screening to protect clients across industries. You will monitor entry points, conduct screening, verify credentials, and provide professional customer service while documenting screening activities.

The role requires 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and a high school diploma; prior access control and X-ray screening experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen shipments, packages, and personal belongings in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements; report irregularities or prohibited items to designated personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for individuals entering restricted operational areas, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, loading zones, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
