OEC Group Job Opportunity: Sales Support Specialist

What we’re looking for…
  • 1-5 years of experience supporting Account Executives in a B2B environment.
  • Entry-level candidates with a degree related to supply chain, international business, or logistics.
  • Knowledge of quoting customers, the sales cycle, and CRM systems.
  • Freight forwarding experience is a plus but not required.
About the Position

Essential duties and responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provide sales support by issuing quotes on international trade lanes for existing and potential clients, including spot rates, tenders, and rate matrices, with the assistance of an Account Executive.
  • Generate sales reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to generate new leads and quotations, and to optimize their sales process.
  • Develop presentations for Account Executives to present to potential customers.
  • Answer calls, provide information, take messages, or transfer calls as appropriate.
  • Create, maintain, and enter data into databases.
  • Support relationship management within OEC Group’s portfolio.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors.
  • Enter information about leads and current customers into the CRM system, Sugar.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams as needed for rate discrepancies and other issues.
Work Schedule

Detroit Office: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm EST

Computer Skills

Experience with Microsoft Office is required.

Education & Experience
  • Associate's degree preferred; 1-5 years of experience in sales support and/or account management in a B2B setting.
  • Basic knowledge of pricing and sales procedures to generate accurate reports.
Salary

$55,000 - $65,000 annually, based on education and experience.
