Job summary

Michigan Paving and Materials Company is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to provide seasonal support from April through December. You will schedule company-owned flowboys and brokers, process orders in dispatch software, and generate logistic reports while traveling to various Michigan sites as needed.

The role requires strong organization, comfort with technology, and teamwork to ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, reporting and documentation skills.
• Comfort with technology and ability to work with dispatch/ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily flowboys and third-party brokers for internal construction and customer sales.
• Receive orders and process in dispatch software.
• Create and maintain logistic reports.
• Track flowboy status and communicate changes to teams.
• Respond to customer needs and solicit feedback to improve service.
• Answer the MPM Customer Service line.
• Coordinate daily changes with customers, vendors and management.
• Travel to MPM and Stoneco sites as needed.

Logistics Coordinator Job Purpose

Provide seasonal support with the expected working period running from April through December each year, to the logistics department while monitoring project progress and dispatch phone.

Logistics Coordinator Duties

• Daily scheduling of company owned flowboys and third party brokers for internal construction and customer sales
• Receive construction and customer orders and process orders to dispatch software
• Create and maintain various logistic reports
• Track flowboy status loops throughout day
• Responds promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service;
• Answer MPM Customer Service phone line
• Communicate daily changes supplied by customers, vendors and management to all necessary parties to insure proper order completion and documentation
• Operate in a team-oriented atmosphere
• Travel to various Michigan Paving & Materials and Stoneco sites as needed

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in either Supply Chain Management, Logistics, applicable studies or equivalent work experience
• Highly organized, able to manage time with constantly changing priorities, reporting and documentation skills, supports innovation and process improvement, MS Office Suite Proficient
• Comfort and familiarity with technology

• Position requires early morning start times, ability to work overtime regularly, evening availability and weekend availability by phone
• Ability to communicate within a team setting
