Job summary

Wayfair in McDonough, GA, is seeking a Transportation Specialist to optimize the supply chain, coordinate freight movements, and ensure accurate inventory in warehouse systems. You will be the key contact for routing, loadouts, and problem resolution to achieve highly reliable “perfect” orders from terminal handoff to final mile.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to safety standards, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a similar logistics/transportation role.
• BA/BS degree preferred but not required for consideration.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Route & Dispatch Management: assign drivers, publish routes, and manage loadouts.
• Exception & Inventory Reconciliation: monitor inbound/outbound discrepancies and cycle counts.
• Reverse Logistics & Paperwork: manage returns and print BOLs, etc.
• Communication & Reporting: circulate end-of-shift reports and coordinate with routing and customer-service teams.
• Operational Support: assist with warehouse tasks as needed and keep area clean.
