Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings seeks a Project Manager to lead strategy, governance and performance of robotic and automated systems across multiple facilities. You will shape the automation roadmap, oversee major deployments and ensure robotics becomes a core strength in our logistics network.

You will partner with operations leadership to align automation with business needs, build standards for safety, and mentor engineering teams across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-site automation or robotics programs.
• Deep knowledge of industrial robotics, PLCs, sensors and systems integration.
• Ability to build automation strategy and manage budgets for large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale automation implementations and deployments.
• Strong communication with both technical teams and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term automation and robotics strategy for multiple sites.
• Build standards for robotics platforms, controls, safety and tech adoption.
• Lead design, evaluation and rollout of new robotic and automated systems.
• Oversee uptime, reliability and lifecycle planning for robotics across the network.
• Partner with senior operations leadership to align automation with business needs.
• Develop and mentor engineering and technical teams across sites.
• Establish governance around system changes, documentation and safety compliance.
