Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Logistics Specialist to support fleet maintenance operations and vessel support services at Kings Bay, Georgia. Duties include Inventory, Admin, and Purchasing.

The candidate will also provide support to Hazardous Material Manager, assisting in Hazardous Material declaration forms and certifications. Inventory duties include maintaining inventories and coordinating shipping/receiving to avoid project delays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of warehouse or supply chain experience; military/DOD experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment; ability to work alone or in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with customers and coworkers at all levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with databases, internet, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management for multiple project inventories; coordinate shipping/receiving to avoid timeline interruptions.
• Admin support across projects; prepare and process memos and technical documents, maintain confidentiality.
• Purchasing responsibilities: research, tracking, receiving, staging, and crating parts; review vendor solicitations and create statements of work.
