Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to support PMSCO for the Missile Defense Agency. The role emphasizes analytical review of government property, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across CONUS/OCONUS locations.

The position requires an active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one, with duties spanning data reconciliation, property lifecycle management, and cross-system analysis. Travel up to 30% may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of government property, logistics, or supply chain experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze property or logistics data, investigate discrepancies, and develop recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of Government property life-cycle management, including receipt, recordkeeping, physical inventory, reporting, and disposition.
  • Experience with Government property accountability or logistics systems and data extraction across multiple systems.
  • Strong written communication for reports, audit responses, investigation documentation, and contract deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • CAC or ability to obtain one through a federal investigation.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and a federal background check.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, receiving, shipping, storage, and administrative environments.
  • Mut pass pre-employment requirements of Cherokee Federal.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Government property records across IMS, BMC Helix, ELMS, PIEE, DoD IUID Registry, and IDENTIFY discrepancies and corrective actions.
  • Maintain, reconcile, interpret, and validate complex property and logistics records and source documentation.
  • Support audits, reviews, and surveillance activities; compile evidence and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as analytical contact for MDA Accountable Property Officers, CORs, DCMA property admins, program customers, and partner contractors.
  • Provide technical guidance and analytical direction to warehouse operations personnel.
  • Develop recommendations for Government stakeholders on property management, inventory, storage, transportation, and process improvements.
  • Plan and manage physical inventories, inventory-by-exception activities, reconciliation programs, sampling methods, and variance analyses.
  • Coordinate transportation, schedules, carriers, and shipping documentation for Government property.
  • Support FLIPL actions and LTDD reporting; update property systems accordingly.
  • Evaluate excess, obsolete, and end-of-life property and advise reutilization or disposal.
  • Oversee property disposition actions through DLA ETIDS, PIEE, and required documents.
  • Interpret FAR 52.245-1, DoD Instruction 5000.64, and related regulations.
  • Develop and improve property-management procedures and internal controls.
  • Plan and coordinate complex logistics actions with cost/schedule tradeoffs and approvals.
  • Assess MIL-STD-130 data and resolve data anomalies.
  • Conduct site, warehouse, and storage-facility assessments for compliance.
  • Perform limited hands-on property verification when needed.
  • Travel 15–30% as required.
