Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers is seeking a Production Supervisor in the Logistics area for the State Farm Correctional Center. The role involves training and supervising staff, overseeing inbound/outbound shipping, and ensuring accuracy of loads and freezer placement while coordinating daily distribution plans.

Qualifications

Thorough working knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures.
Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
Demonstrated ability to operate a motor vehicle and warehouse equipment.
Must use a computer and have good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
Valid Driver's License.
Valid Class A CDL (or able to obtain within 6 months).
Operate road tractors and 53 ft refrigerated trailers for daily load-out.

Responsibilities

Train, supervise, facilitate and monitor inbound and outbound receiving/shipping procedures.
Move Tractor Trailer Trucks and Box Trucks daily.
Coordinate with Meat Plant Supervisors regarding production plans and assist Logistics Manager with distribution plans.
