Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Co-op for its Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL). The student will assist with procurement logistics, inventory management, and BOM handling, coordinating with vendors and engineers to improve processes.

In-person attendance at the Cobb County Research Facility (CCRF) is required, with lifting/delivery of parts as needed. The role offers exposure to work orders, kitting, quality assurance, and cross-functional process

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Other Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Eligible to participate in a co-op program and register for co-op credit.
• Must complete at least three full-time co-op terms prior to graduation.
• Ability to come to CCRF in person.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers, vendors, and engineers.
• Ability to handle/lift and deliver parts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with logistics in procurement and receiving processes.
• Identify inefficiencies and assist with inventory management.
• Manage Bills of Materials using database tools.
• Perform physical inventory audits and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and engineers.
• Gain experience with work orders, kitting, and quality assurance; help implement processes across the program.
