Job summary

NewCold in Macon, GA is seeking a Planner to oversee dock activity from delivery check-in through final trip closure, coordinating receipt and dispatch to meet customer expectations and standards.

This role alternates between planning operations and transportation support, collaborating with warehouse and carrier teams to keep goods flowing safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in logistics or warehouse planning and strong organizational, data entry, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years' experience using Microsoft applications.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage inbound and outbound dock activity in alignment with customer targets.
• Coordinate product flow by checking in deliveries and closing out final trips.
• Work with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Use MLS and other systems to check in/out haulers and manage transportation records.
• Initiate and close outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and system updates.
• Organize and file all shipment-related paperwork, including archiving full file boxes.
• Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal departments to meet delivery schedules.
• Support timely loading/unloading of freight by working directly with carrier reps and warehouse staff.
• Assist in maintaining the accuracy and flow of goods in and out of high bay storage.
• Ensure compliance with product handling standards (e.g., temperature control, damage checks).
• Support general warehouse operations as needed, including helping colleagues and keeping area clean.
