Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Logistics and Parts Coordinator to serve as the central contact for material coordination across North American wind farm sites. The role ensures inventory accuracy, handles SAP material transactions, and supports spare parts logistics, while collaborating with site operations, finance, project management, and warehouse teams.

The position requires 5-7 years in inventory/logistics, strong Excel skills, and readiness to travel up to 70% within North America.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional vocational, technical training, associate degree, or equivalent related experience preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, materials coordination, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and locations.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software systems and technologies.
• Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma training or continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Forklift operating experience and familiarity with warehouse equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in remote facilities and varying climate conditions.
• Ability to work independently in warehouse environments while maintaining strong collaboration with local and regional teams.
• Professional proficiency in English required.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% within North America.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management through annual counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation using SAP and inventory systems.
• Materials coordination: manage movements, transfers, and returns with documentation.
• Resolve material transaction issues in SAP/SRP including COGI and PO discrepancies.
• Coordinate spare parts orders and track shipments to site destinations.
• Provide training on SAP transactions, inventory processes, and logistics best practices.
• Review inventory strategies and consumption trends with site leadership.
• Validate retrofit & major campaign inventory and support cycle counts and NCRs.
• Apply Lean principles to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
• Cross-functional collaboration with site management, finance, order management, etc.
• Maintain EH&S compliance in warehouse and field environments.
