II. Job Summary:

Loading/unloading of all types of glass. This position requires additional forklift skills to move glass safely and efficiently.

III. Job Functions and Duties

1. Support loading/unloading of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
2. Ensure proper storage locations and FIFO management.
3. Inspect forklift for maintenance needs and coordinate with Maintenance for scheduled maintenance. Perform daily PIT safety checks.
4. Visually inspect staged products for quality or quantity discrepancies. Ensure proper containers are used for customers.
5. Understand and operate scanning systems for product, truck assignments, storage locations, and complete shipments in the PLEX system.
6. Maintain health and safety standards in all operations and follow all WI.
7. Assist the team with process improvements.
8. Perform 5S and housekeeping duties daily at assigned locations.
9. Participate in other departmental projects, such as organizing empty racks.
10. Submit monthly improvement suggestions.
11. Follow customer loading and securing requirements.
12. Complete Shipping Confirmation/Load Forms for each shipment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

IV. Qualifications

Language: English is the primary language. Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and diagrams. Effective communication with team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.

Experience: 1-3 years manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Education: High School Diploma or GED or higher.

Physical Condition: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks including turning, reaching, bending, and squatting. Must pass static strength requirements.

Visual Acuity: Near and far acuity, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Other Requirements: Moderate noise environment, safety gear including glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots. Math skills, reasoning, computer proficiency, and a valid forklift license are required.

Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to extreme heat. Safety gear required.
