Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead a team responsible for on-time, damage-free freight movement. You will coach staff, optimize daily manpower, and ensure safety and quality in every shipment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, providing rate quotes and scheduling, monitoring performance data, and enforcing company policies while striving for continuous improvements in efficiency and service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules and OSHA laws, NMFC and Tariff Rules.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multi-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop employees focusing on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct employee work with focus on quality, safety and timely deliveries.
• Plan daily manpower and schedules for on-time freight movement.
• Coordinate with customers and teams on rate quotes and appointments.
• Monitor performance data and generate reporting for management.
• Build relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies; perform administrative tasks.
