Qualifications

• Hands-on operations experience in at least one freight mode.
• Verifiable customer book or overseas-agent network to generate recurring gross profit.
• Ability to manage execution while developing relationships with customers and agents.
• Strong understanding of pricing, buying rates, sell rates, gross profit, billing, and credit risk.
• Excellent follow-through, documentation, and exception-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipments from quote to closeout within your portfolio.
• Grow an established customer or overseas-agent portfolio aligned with LSI.
• Develop routing, pricing, and service solutions balancing customer needs and profitability.
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned customers and agents.
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers, warehouses, and internal teams for seamless execution.
• Maintain accurate shipment, cost, revenue, and billing records.
• Monitor portfolio performance and protect margins while identifying expansion opportunities.
• Follow company procedures and trade, transportation, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute cross-training and problem solving across the operation.

LSI is seeking an experienced logistics operator who can both manage freight and expand profitable business. This hybrid role is designed for a hands‑on professional with deep operational knowledge and an established customer or overseas‑agent network that can transition to LSI. The successful candidate will own execution, relationships, margin, and growth for their portfolio.

What You Will Do

• Manage shipments within your area of expertise from quote and booking through documentation, milestone management, delivery, billing, and closeout.
• Transition and grow an established portfolio of customer or overseas‑agent business that is operationally appropriate for LSI.
• Develop routing, pricing, and service solutions that balance customer needs, operational feasibility, risk, and gross profit.
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned customers and agents, providing timely communication and issue resolution.
• Coordinate effectively with carriers, brokers, truckers, warehouses, agents, vendors, sales, finance, and other LSI team members.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely shipment, cost, revenue, billing, and customer records.
• Monitor portfolio performance, protect margin, identify expansion opportunities, and address unprofitable or high‑risk activity.
• Follow company procedures and applicable trade, transportation, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute expertise, cross‑training, and constructive problem solving across the operation.

What You Will Bring

• Substantial hands‑on operations experience in at least one freight mode; multimodal or international forwarding experience is preferred.
• A verifiable and transferable customer book or overseas‑agent network capable of producing recurring gross profit.
• Ability to personally manage operational execution while developing and retaining business relationships.
• Strong understanding of pricing, buying rates, sell rates, gross profit, billing, credit risk, and file‑level financial performance.
• Excellent follow‑through, documentation, customer communication, and exception‑management skills.
• Professional judgment, integrity, and the ability to collaborate across a team while owning individual results.
• Relevant freight‑forwarding systems experience and proficiency with standard business technology.

• Transferred business begins shipping on an agreed transition schedule.
• The portfolio generates sustainable monthly gross profit that supports the position and continued growth.
• Shipments are handled accurately, profitably, and with proactive customer communication.
