Job summary

You will supervise a team of about five drivers, coordinate schedules, monitor attendance, and ensure safety compliance with FMCSA, DOT and OSHA while collaborating with HR, Safety, Finance, Customer Service and Sales to support overall operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader to oversee daily operations.
• Experience supervising a team of drivers.
• Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the terminal, including freight receiving, loading, unloading, staging, dispatch, and delivery coordination.
• Supervise and provide direction to a team of approximately five drivers responsible for transporting and handling freight.
• Coordinate employee schedules, monitor attendance, and manage daily staffing needs.
• Promote efficient operations while maintaining high standards of productivity and customer service.
• Track operational performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Work closely with departments such as Human Resources, Safety, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales to support overall business operations.
• Ensures safety and compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Demonstrated leadership and operational management skills
• Strong critical thinking and decision making abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily operations with minimal supervision
