Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of drivers at a single Frederick, MD location, delivering exceptional service while achieving cost objectives. You will supervise hourly staff, coordinate deliveries, and drive safety and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes people leadership, coaching, scheduling, and collaboration with drivers to meet customer requirements. Schedule is 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, Sunday to Wednesday; salary is posted and bonus eligibility is based

Qualifications

Leadership experience supervising teams of hourly workers.
Experience coordinating driver deliveries and field operations.
Proven ability to coach, motivate, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

People: train and develop supervisors and associates; ensure performance standards.
Operations: supervise logistics, dispatch, documentation, and workflow; conduct team meetings.
Finance: monitor costs, MPG, returns, and productivity targets; manage overtime.
Safety: align activities with safety strategy; enforce policies and conduct observations.
Growth/Customer Experience: meet customer goals and drive continuous improvement.
Fleet/Assets: plan work assignments; ensure safe operation and maintenance coordination.
