Job summary

dsm-firmenich in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Sr. Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily operations, drive strategies for inbound/outbound shipments, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team of logistics professionals and partner with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency. The role requires a minimum of 5 years in logistics management, with strong ERP/WMS experience and ISO/FSSC knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in logistics software and systems, e.g., ERP, WMS.
Ensure adherence to all management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and FSSC 22000.
Relevant certifications such as CSCP or Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) are preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and inventory management.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation, storage, costs and distribution processes.
Accurately fill daily packing sheet, ensure packaging and labeling of finish product meets needs of customer or internal usages per instructions.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
Utilize data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance logistics efficiency.
