Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Atlanta, GA location to lead a team of drivers and hourly staff, ensuring on-time deliveries, accurate paperwork, and excellent customer service while meeting cost objectives.

You will supervise daily tasks, manage performance, coordinate resources, and participate in hiring and training; the role offers bonus eligibility and requires a strong focus on safety and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with associates and customers.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Ability to manage through a problem, think critically, and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly staff to meet customer requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate daily operations and resources.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching and corrective actions.
• Lead team meetings and drive safety and compliance.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training activities.
• Manage documentation, records, and reporting accurately.
