Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. offers an Operations Internship for Fall 2026 in Kentucky. Under close supervision, you will assist with customers on transportation and logistics services, gaining exposure to basic management principles and daily operational tasks.

This undergraduate/graduate internship requires 20–25 hours per week, with a focus on planning freight, asset utilization, safety and DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis, plus related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in good standing and able to work 20–25 hours per week.
• GED and High School diplomas are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customers on transportation/logistics services under supervision.
• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including freight planning, asset utilization, safety management, and DOT compliance.
• Support driver payroll, logistics management/analysis, driver supervision, and P&L awareness.
• Perform other related duties as required.
