The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and collaboration with Purchasing and Operations to maintain timely material flow and a compliant shipping process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate paperwork and shipping/receiving records.
• Record inventory movements and update logs.
• Verify documentation before submission; ensure material moves with proper paperwork.
• Review incoming deliveries and scheduled shipments; maintain shipping schedule.
• Verify quantities, dimensions, heat numbers where applicable, and condition against packing slips/POs/Bills of Lading.
• Inspect shipments for damage or shortages and photograph as needed.
• Coordinate freight pickups; ensure loads meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain staging areas and keep warehouse organized; support production with material availability.
