Job summary

Process Equipment and Controls (PEC) is seeking a Structural Steel Laydown & Logistics Coordinator to organize the steel yard, choreograph material flow, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries for production. You will direct truck arrivals, stage beams and plates, and coordinate with shop teams to keep production supplied and drivers moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day organization and material flow across the steel yard and laydown areas.
• Load/unload deliveries of structural steel, fabricated items, and equipment.
• Operate forklifts and handling equipment safely to move, stage, and organize stock.
• Maintain clear, obstruction-free travel lanes for trucks and equipment.
• Direct drivers to correct loading, unloading, and staging locations.
• Verify materials placed in designated positions to prevent misplacement or damage.
