Job summary

Hayes Company is seeking a Logistics Clerk III for our Mesquite, TX facility to support transportation needs across multiple sites. You will partner with on-site drivers, coordinate daily dock activities, and help manage the yard and trailer pool while ensuring accurate reporting and strong communication with supervisors.

The role requires at least two years in logistics, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years in logistics or supply chain.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Valid Driver's license for mobility between local warehouses.

Responsibilities

Manage relationships with onsite drivers.
Resolve internal and external questions.
Provide conflict resolution with onsite carriers and communicate with logistics Supervisor.
Assist scheduling to resolve check-in and dock issues.
Manage leased trailer pool: procurement, inventory and exiting lease.
Responsible for morning gate and warehouse opening.
Monitor reports to track and maintain accurate information.
Assist Manager with reporting and delegation throughout the team.
Ensure yard accuracy for drop trailer program and daily yard audits.
Identify and resolve scheduling issues within the WMS system.
Assist with rollout projects to align with organizational expectations.
Ensure expedites are prepared and shipped on time.
