Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a seasoned site Operations Manager to direct operations, ensure service agreements meet client standards, and drive profitability through superior client service and effective communications.

You will plan staffing, monitor schedules, manage revenue and expenses, and lead training to peak performance. The role requires on-site presence at the assigned location and at least ten years in logistics with five years supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum ten years industry-related experience required.
  • Minimum five years supervisory experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Directs site operations to ensure staff executes service agreements at or above client standards.
  • Maximize profitability through superior client service, effective communications and follow-up.
  • Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjust to meet operational demands.
  • Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints.
  • Train, develop and motivate employees to peak performance and growth in knowledge and responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation & review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Directs site operations to ensure that the operations staff executes service agreements at, or above the client's standards.
  • Maximize profitability through superior client service, effective and prompt communications and follow-up on all pending matters with the client.
  • Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules, and adjusts accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives.
  • Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints.
  • Responsible to train, develop and motivate employees to peak performance and growth in their knowledge and responsibilities
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses).
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Computer Literate
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight
  • Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location

Education & Experience

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas
