Job summary

nVent in Dayton is seeking a Material Handler for our distribution center to move and manage materials, fulfill customer orders, and support inventory control. You will operate forklifts and RF scanners, perform loading and receiving tasks, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Requires forklift certification within five days of placement, strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow standard work and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required, stand-up Crown preferred.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and follow SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, picking, checking, and loading activities in accordance with SOPs and work instructions
• Accurately complete system transactions to maintain inventory integrity
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, shrink wrappers, dock equipment, and related tools
• Conduct required equipment safety checks and report unsafe conditions immediately
• Support material flow including put-away, replenishment, and line service activities
• Meet established productivity, quality, and safety performance standards
