Senior Logistics Manager
Our client is seeking an accomplished, highly analytical Senior Logistics Manager to take end-to‑end ownership of North American warehouse operations, inventory control, and trade compliance. Reporting to the Head of Operations with direct matrix alignment to global headquarters in Belgium, this is a high‑accountability leadership role designed strictly for a proven logistics authority.
NOTICE TO APPLICANTS: This position requires deep hands‑on expertise in complex ERP systems, international trade compliance, and rigorous inventory accuracy. Candidates with fewer than 10 years of overall logistics experience and 5+ years of direct operational management will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Accuracy & Control: Drive physical stock precision across all locations. Direct cycle counts, quarterly physical inventories, root‑cause discrepancy investigations, and precise control of consigned inventory.
- Operational Execution: Set daily priorities for receiving, picking, staging, and shipping. Ensure 100% pre‑picked production orders to eliminate material shortages before work hits the floor.
- Global Trade & Freight: Oversee carrier performance, claims, tariff classifications, and import/export documentation using the ACE portal.
- Team Leadership: Manage warehouse and shipping leads and their teams (5–8 reports per group). Build work instructions, skills matrices, and onboarding plans grounded in 5S principles.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead strategic projects to optimize warehouse capacity, shipment quality, and ERP material‑flow efficiency.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, or material management within a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of direct leadership experience managing warehouse/shipping teams and leads.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP/WMS systems, barcode scanning environments, and data analysis in MS Excel.
- Demonstrated track record of dramatically improving inventory accuracy and eliminating material shortages.
- Deep experience in parcel/freight management, carrier claims, and international trade (import/export, tariff classification, ACE portal).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent high‑level operational experience strongly valued.
Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Own inventory accuracy across physical stock, warehouse locations, ERP transactions, corrections, and material consumption
- Own the receiving, identification, storage, system recording, cycle counting, reconciliation, and consumption reporting of consigned inventory
- Ensure consigned materials remain separately controlled and all usage is recorded accurately and promptly
- Lead weekly cycle counting and quarterly physical inventory counts
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Ensure materials are received, inspected, stored, and recorded in the ERP system within established timelines
- Set daily priorities for receiving, picking, staging, and shipping based on the production plan
- Ensure production orders are completely pre picked and material shortages are identified before work reaches production
- Control and communicate orders placed on hold because of missing materials
- Monitor upcoming kitting demand and communicate capacity constraints before they affect production
- Lead accurate picking, packing, documentation, and shipment of customer orders
- Proactively monitor carrier portals for shipment delays and communicate issues to inside sales
- Manage carrier claims, transportation issues, and nonstandard customer freight quotes through resolution
- Maintain accurate import and export documentation, tariff classifications, and ACE portal transactions
- Lead the warehouse and shipping area leads and their respective teams of five to eight people
