Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Logistics Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee inland (LTL, FTL, last-mile) and ocean freight shipments across the U.S. and internationally; develop SOPs for standard, expedited, and secure transport of IT assets and e-waste materials; coordinate with warehouse operations to arrange inbounds and outbounds.
- ITAD & Recycling Special Handling: Implement and monitor secure logistics protocols, including tamper-evident packaging, serialized asset tracking, and GPS-enabled transport; coordinate logistics for R2, e-Stewards, and NAID-certified facilities and downstream vendors; ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, RCRA, and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST 800-88).
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Negotiate rates and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and white-glove service providers; maintain and audit SLAs and ensure high on-time performance and damage-free delivery.
- Inventory & Transportation Visibility: Oversee tracking and tracing of all shipments using TMS, WMS, and/or ERP systems; collaborate with operations and customer success teams to maintain visibility, address service disruptions, and provide timely updates.
- Cost Control & Continuous Improvement: Analyze freight spend, optimize routing, and identify opportunities for consolidation and mode shifts; drive process improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of logistics management experience with a mix of inland and ocean freight.
- Hands-on experience in recycling, e-waste, or IT asset disposition (ITAD) industries is strongly preferred.
- Proficient with logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP such as NetSuite or SAP).
- Familiarity with secure asset tracking tools and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proven leadership abilities with a problem-solving mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
