• Create and manage truckload and partial load quotes using Loadsmart TMS.
• Plan and route shipments based on transit times and cost-effective delivery methods.
• Determine trailer capacity and optimize load space utilization.
• Maintain and update truckload tracking spreadsheets in Excel.
• Coordinate with brokers and internal branches to ensure loads are scheduled and executed on time.
• Proactively follow up on shipments and resolve delivery issues or delays.
• Respond to inquiries from brokers and internal teams within 24 hours or less.
• Perform daily load status checks to confirm shipments are covered and moving as planned.
• Review and approve freight invoices; submit to accounting for processing.
• Track and maintain performance metrics for the DFW location.

Position Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities, including load planning, routing, carrier communication, and shipment tracking. This role ensures cost-effective and timely delivery while supporting logistics operations through strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills.

Key Responsibilities
