Job summary

Sirmax North America, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate and optimize logistics and warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery and production supply. You will oversee transportation, inventory accuracy, and collaborate with internal departments and logistics partners.

The role requires strong planning, leadership, and ERP experience (SAP preferred). You will manage Warehouse Operators, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvements in service levels and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Admin, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in logistics, transportation and warehouse management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating warehouse or logistics teams.
• Knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, warehousing and inventory management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and optimizing logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and the timely delivery of products to customers. The role oversees transportation, warehousing, inventory accuracy and production supply, while coordinating Warehouse Operators and collaborating with internal departments, logistics providers and supply chain partners.

Main activities:

• Plan, coordinate and oversee logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and timely execution;
• Ensure on-time deliveries to customers, monitoring shipment performance and addressing any delays or operational issues;
• Plan and optimize shipments, loads and transportation activities, with a focus on service levels and operational efficiency;
• Manage relationships with transportation and logistics providers, monitoring service quality and supporting the optimization of logistics performance;
• Coordinate warehouse activities and material flows, ensuring efficient storage and availability of materials for production;
• Monitor inventory accuracy and stock levels, coordinating stock checks and inventory activities;
• Oversee the execution of customer orders and ensure their correct and timely processing within the management system;
• Ensure the accurate and timely management of shipping and transport documentation and the correct recording of shipments in SAP;
• Monitor key logistics KPIs and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service levels;
• Identify and resolve logistics issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Customer Service, Purchasing and other internal functions to ensure effective coordination of logistics flows;
• Coordinate and supervise Warehouse Operators, organizing daily activities and ensuring an efficient allocation of resources.

Requirements of the position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field;
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation and warehouse management, preferably within a manufacturing environment;
• Previous experience in coordinating warehouse or logistics teams;
• Good knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, warehousing and inventory management;
• Good understanding of supply chain and production logistics processes;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
