As the Logistics Manager, you will lead all domestic and global supply chain activities within our manufacturing facility. Primary Duties
- Oversee all inbound and outbound logistics processes, encompassing order preparation, labeling, inspections, and documentation for global and domestic distribution.
- Ensure the secure and compliant transport of both hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
- Formulate effective storage and shipping plans that account for material constraints and operational needs.
- Collaborate with the EHS department to help maintain a safe working environment through proper chemical segregation and storage.
- Verify incoming raw materials and finished goods by confirming lot numbers and item quantities.
- Direct warehouse personnel by managing performance, enforcing company policies, and addressing disciplinary matters to ensure team productivity.
- Maintain high inventory precision by reconciling receipts with purchase orders and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Guarantee that all materials are correctly stored, documented, and labeled to support efficient operations.
- Assess freight carrier performance, track shipping expenditures, audit invoices, and resolve freight-related claims.
- Control departmental spending to ensure alignment with approved budgetary goals.
- Uphold rigorous safety and hygiene standards while identifying ways to improve overall warehouse efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous professional development within the logistics team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a comparable level of professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing logistics within a manufacturing setting.
- Proven background in handling international shipping and logistics.
- Practical experience in managing inventory systems.
- Proficiency in utilizing ERP software for logistics operations.
- Advanced technical skills in Microsoft 365.
Specific Requirements
- Active IMDG/IATA certification for the packaging and transport of hazardous materials.
- Full-time, exempt status.
- Standard work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Flexibility is available, provided core hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. are met.
- Total commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
- Travel is not a requirement for this role.
- Physical ability to occasionally walk, stand, sit, reach, handle items, and climb stairs.
- Capacity to lift or move supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

This role is split between administrative and industrial settings. You will utilize standard office tools while maintaining a constant presence in the warehouse to oversee logistics operations. The typical work week runs Monday through Friday from 7:0 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a requirement to be present during core hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No travel is expected.
