Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a maintenance-focused team member to support various shift-based operations across our facilities. You will assist maintenance personnel, monitor safety, and communicate production issues to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. You will perform routine tasks, inspections, and basic repairs while contributing to a culture of continuous

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Proactive in learning and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed.
• Be alert of unsafe conditions and report them immediately.
• Communicate about production issues, concerns, and needs.
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift.
• Carry out tasks as directed by operations support management in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform minor/routine maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements in work methods.
