Job summary

Aviagen USA is seeking a Driver Assistant to support transportation and logistics by assisting drivers with loading, securing, and transporting poultry and related items. The role requires adherence to biosecurity procedures and safety standards on farm and transport sites.

You will help prepare vehicles, check loads, document activities, and maintain clear communication with drivers and farm personnel. This is a hands-on, on-site position with rigorous safety expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 21 years of age where required for assigned driving responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license with driving record meeting MVR requirements.
• Ability to safely operate assigned vehicles and transportation equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to safety, dependability, and personal responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with daily transportation and logistics activities, including preparing vehicles and loads for routes.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials, supplies, and cargo.
• Verify loads are properly positioned and secured before movement.
• Inspect trailers, cargo areas, and loading equipment prior to departure.
• Complete transportation and delivery documentation as required.
