Job summary

Revolution in Florence, AL seeks an experienced Shipping & Receiving Lead to coordinate daily operations, direct dock staff, and ensure materials and finished goods move safely and on schedule. You will work closely with the Plant Manager to maintain inventory accuracy and support efficient plant operations.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment. Flexibility for overtime and shift changes is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Previous leadership or employee training experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or trainer role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to direct team members across departments and partners.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, bills of lading, packing lists, purchase orders, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate related material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping and receiving operations, assign tasks, prioritize shipments, and coordinate staffing.
• Train and direct dock personnel, conduct shift meetings, reinforce safety procedures.
• Coordinate shipments, inventory transfers, and material needs with production, customer service, and carriers.
• Oversee outbound order preparation, packaging, staging, and scheduling with carriers.
• Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, labeling, and documentation; photograph loaded trailers.
• Prepare shipping documents and maintain receiving operations with accuracy and safety.
• Maintain inventory records, conduct weekly counts, reconcile discrepancies, and monitor supplies.
• Perform material handling duties including forklift operation and loading/unloading.
• Maintain 5S organized warehouse and dock areas and coordinate equipment repairs.
• Complete inspections and documentation; report safety incidents and participate in training.
