Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records, conduct weekly counts, reconcile discrepancies, and monitor supplies.
• Perform material handling duties including forklift operation and loading/unloading.
• Maintain 5S organized warehouse and dock areas and coordinate equipment repairs.
• Complete inspections and documentation; report safety incidents and participate in training.

Join the Revolution Team! Revolution is seeking an experienced and motivated Shipping & Receiving Lead to join our manufacturing team in Florence, AL. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving operations, directing dock activities, and ensuring materials and finished products move safely, accurately, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Plant Manager, this position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments, and supporting efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

Lead daily shipping and receiving operations, assign tasks, prioritize shipments, and coordinate staffing to meet operational schedules.

Train and direct dock personnel, conduct shift meetings, reinforce safety procedures, and communicate concerns to the Plant Manager.

Coordinate shipments, inventory transfers, and material needs with production, customer service, sales, carriers, and other facilities.

Oversee outbound order preparation, packaging, staging, and carrier scheduling to ensure timely shipments.

Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, labeling, and documentation; photograph products and loaded trailers before release.

Prepare and maintain shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and driver signatures.

Oversee receiving operations, inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and damage, and document discrepancies.

Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct weekly counts, reconcile discrepancies, and monitor shipping and packaging supplies.

Perform material handling duties, including forklift operation, loading, unloading, packaging, and transporting materials as needed.

Maintain organized warehouse and dock areas, following 5S standards and ensuring proper material storage.

Enforce safety procedures, conduct forklift and storage rack inspections, and coordinate equipment repairs and corrective actions.

Complete required inspections and documentation in Microsoft Forms; report safety incidents, support investigations, and participate in safety training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 5 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Previous leadership or employee training experience preferred, with at least 1 year in a lead or trainer role.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to direct team members and coordinate effectively across departments, facilities, and external partners.

Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including bills of lading, packing lists, purchase orders, and inventory control.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and Forms) and experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.

Strong math and analytical skills to accurately calculate quantities, weights, pallet counts, and inventory discrepancies.

Experience handling industrial products, including bale ties, bags, stretch film, or similar packaged materials, preferred.

First Aid/CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire, with ongoing certification maintenance.

Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and handle heavier materials using appropriate equipment or assistance.

Ability to work in a warehouse and dock environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment.

Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted shifts based on operational needs.
