TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Logistics Specialist for the Montgomery, AL location. This is a contract-to-hire role requiring full-time onsite work at our Montgomery site.

You will strategically plan material deliveries, coordinate orders, forecast project needs and monitor performance metrics to improve efficiency and costs. Travel may be required occasionally as projects dictate.

Our customer is looking to fill several roles in their Montgomery Location. Currently we need to fill 2 Logistics Lead Roles and both of these roles will be contract to hire (could convert anytime after 4 months onsite with the customer) and all need to be willing to be onsite full time in Montgomery, AL.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Lead Logistics Specialist will strategically plan and coordinate material deliveries to job sites.

• The Lead Logistics Specialist will forecast needs for projects.
• The Lead Logistics Specialist will keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.

• Must have proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
• Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
• Must be able to learn Company and customer project management systems.
• Regular attendance is mandatory

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
