SET Logistics, LLC is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations in a fast‑paced freight brokerage. No prior freight knowledge required; training is provided to cover billing, AR processes, portals, and SET procedures.

This entry‑level role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to learn multiple systems while collaborating with Operations and Sales teams for timely billing.

Qualifications

• Understanding of invoicing, AR, payments, and reconciliations.
• Comfort with numbers and detail‑oriented work.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and navigate multiple platforms.
• College coursework or degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Experience in customer service or office support is a plus; logistics experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer invoicing, AR, payment posting, and general accounting support.
• Review load and delivery docs to ensure billing readiness.
• Research billing discrepancies and help resolve issues.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and past‑due balances.
• Apply payments and keep account records accurate.
• Coordinate with Operations, Sales, and other teams on billing issues.
• Navigate accounting software, McLeod/TMS tools, and portals.
• Maintain organized documentation and clear notes on accounts.
• Support reconciliations, reporting, and ad hoc accounting projects.
