Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Material Handler to receive, verify, and expedite distribution of goods to departments. Responsibilities include processing POs, packing slips, and signatures, rotating inventory, and accurate charging for issued supplies.

Basic qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and English proficiency. One year of material handler experience is preferred to support efficient hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid State Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum of 1 year as a material handler is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English, and perform simple math, is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries for the facility and verify addresses.
• Identify purchase orders and packing slips.
• Verify PO in Lawson to identify delivery area.
• Attach packing slip copy to order and deliver to department with signature.
• Stock and rotate inventory; break down boxes and par/pick supplies for locations.
• Maintain supply carts in a clean, orderly fashion and complete par sheets.
• Assist walk-in and telephone requests; charge cost centers correctly.
