Bonji Foods in Middlesex, NJ is seeking an entry-level Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to manage outbound logistics, inventory for direct deliveries, and coordination with brokers, carriers, and third-party warehouses. This on-site role reports to ownership and includes hands-on training.

You will track routes, supervise daily driver tasks, and help build efficient processes for MOQs, lead times, and inventory accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Freight & Third-Party Logistics: work with brokers/carriers to deliver shipments on time at best cost.
• Coordinate with third-party warehouses to set up and release orders.
• Hold warehouses and carriers accountable for damages and errors, pursuing claims to resolution.
• Book delivery appointments balancing customer relationships, production schedules, and inventory.
• Develop logistics plans, MOQs, and lead times for distributor network.
• Direct-to-Customer Deliveries & Inventory: oversee order-taking workflow and contact daily.
• Track finished goods inventory for direct-delivery customers to ensure on-hand products.
• Speak with purchasers to build orders for managed customers.
• Flag low stock early and coordinate with production to keep accounts supplied.
• Coordinate between order taking and AR so orders ship only to current accounts.
• Direct drivers: assign routes and tasks, stay in contact throughout the day.
• Provide customers with accurate delivery ETAs and answer order-status questions.
• Fleet Management: manage truck rental, review invoices for errors.
• Schedule routine vehicle maintenance and maintain DOT records.
• Additional: process customer payments, support AR with collections, build KPI reports.

About Us

Bonji Foods is a growing New Jersey frozen smoothie bowl base and sorbet manufacturer. We produce bulk sorbet (açaí, pitaya, mango, coconut and more) for açaí shops, cafés, restaurants, colleges and multi-unit operators across the Northeast and beyond. We ship full truckloads to 20+ distributors and run our own direct delivery routes. We’re a lean, family-run team, and this role has a real impact on how our products get to customers.

The Role

We’re looking for an organized, sharp, and persistent person to run our outbound logistics and finished goods inventory. You’ll coordinate truckloads with brokers, carriers, and third-party warehouses. You’ll also oversee our local direct-to-customer deliveries and the inventory that supports them, keeping orders, stock, drivers, and customers on the same page every day. You’ll report directly to ownership. No logistics experience is required. We’ll train you. What we need is someone who follows through, communicates clearly, and doesn’t let mistakes slide.

What You’ll Do

Freight & Third-Party Logistics

• Work with freight brokers and carriers to get shipments delivered on time at the best cost
• Coordinate with our third-party warehouses to set up and release orders
• Hold warehouses and carriers accountable for damages, shortages, and errors, and pursue claims and credits through to resolution
• Book delivery appointments with the team, balancing customer relationships, production schedules, and inventory
• Help develop logistics plans, rules, and guidelines, including minimum order quantities (MOQs) and lead times for our distributor network

Direct-to-Customer Deliveries & Inventory

• Oversee our order-taking workflow and make sure every account is contacted daily
• Track finished goods inventory for our direct-delivery customers so the right product is on hand for every route
• Speak with purchaser to help build orders for the customers you manage
• Flag low stock early and coordinate with production to keep direct accounts supplied
• Coordinate between order taking and accounts receivable so that orders only ship to customers whose accounts are current
• Direct our delivery driver(s): assign daily routes and special tasks, and stay in contact throughout the day
• Give customers accurate delivery ETAs and answer questions about where their order is

Fleet Management

• Manage our truck rental account and review every invoice for billing errors
• Schedule routine vehicle maintenance
• Maintain required DOT records and compliance information

Additional Responsibilities

• Process customer credit card payments
• Support accounts receivable with collections outreach
• Build reports and track KPIs for ownership, such as freight cost per shipment, on-time delivery, claims recovered, inventory accuracy, and order volume

Your First 90 Days

• Learn our products, customers, and daily order and delivery workflow
• Take over daily driver routing and direct-account inventory tracking
• Begin booking truckloads with our brokers and coordinating with our third-party warehouses
